About Us

The Livingston Parish Public School System serves over 26,000 students ranging from Pre-K through grade twelve. We continually strive to upgrade our schools to provide a climate that enhances learning. Our instructional programs and other related programs and services are focused to meet the needs of our student population and the requirements of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of the Livingston Parish community. For this we are very thankful.

Changes for graduations at southeastern png
LPPS understands that graduation is a special day for students and their families. In preparation for our four upcoming graduations at Southeastern Louisiana University this weekend, and to ensure a safe environment, some changes have been made to the entrance and screening processes.

University Police Chief Michael Beckner asks attendees to leave any bags, purses, etc. in your vehicles. The only items to be brought into the University Center should be phones and cameras. Extra security will be provided at each entrance to facilitate the screening process. Please ensure all friends and family who plan to attend are aware of these procedures.  These requirements have been put in place by SLU Police and questions should be directed to them.

We look forward to celebrating the success of your students and this milestone in their lives! Congratulations to all graduates!
