Livingston Parish Public School (LPPS) assures that a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) is available to all children with an identified disability,  resides within LPPS's jurisdiction, and is between the ages of 3 and 21, including children with disabilities who have been suspended or expelled from school.

     LPPS assures compliance with the development and implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP).

     The Director of Special Education is responsible for general supervision within LPPS's jurisdiction of locating, identifying, evaluating, and ensuring services for students who are suspected of having a disability and for the provision of FAPE to students with identified disabilities.
