The Livingston Parish Public Library has provided FREE online access to students and teachers!  



This card gives access to a host of online resources and activities:


Download ebooks and audio books straight to your computer OR download the app to put it straight onto your device.


Hoopla Digital offers access to nearly half a million titles, from six different formats: Movies, TV,Music Albums, eAudiobooks , eBooks, and Comics/Graphic Novels. All in one location, from your computer, tablet or Smartphone!


NoveList K-8 Plus is a database about books specifically for younger readers. It helps kids find books that are just right for their reading level and interests.

 


Livingston Parish Library also offers RBdigital, a service that allows you to download both eBooks and eAudiobooks for free. To use RBdigital, you will need to install RBdigital Media Manager. This free software is compatible with Windows, Mac, and any iPod or other Apple device. RBdigital is free with your library card and can be accessed from any computer.


Pronunciator is a fun and easy way to learn any of 80 languages, including learning English as a Second Language.


Pairs classic fictional video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning in all children. Recommended for PreK – grade 3.


The Livingston Parish Library also offers the Tumblebook Library, an online collection of TumbleBooks- animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read or have read to you.


An online collection of ebooks and read-along chapter books, graphic novels, educational videos, and audio books.


Captures defining moments in American history and ancient civilizations as well as historic current day events. Recommended for grades 4-9.


A comprehensive readers’ advisory resource that provides a database of fiction and nonfiction for library patrons. Users can search among hundreds of thousands of popular fiction and readable nonfiction titles, and also retrieve author read-alikes, book lists, book discussion guides, and more.


Presents science for the next generation! This is the perfect resource with leveled scientific content, interactive features and intuitive navigation. Recommended for grades 4-9.


TRUEFLIX: Brings award-winning True Books to life, helping students master Social Studies and Science content knowledge through literacy. Recommended for grades 3-6.


The award-winningTeen Health & Wellnessprovides middle and high school students with up-to-date, nonjudgmental, straightforward curricular, and self-help support. Articles are correlated to state, national, and provincial standards, including Common Core Health and Science. Topics covered include diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, mental health, suicide, bullying, LGBTQ issues, and more.

With Comics Plus you can access thousands of graphic novels on-the-go. Simply log in with your library card number and browse the selection of eComics or use the search function to find something specific. Once you’ve selected a title you can view a preview of the comic or use the check out option to view the entire comic. Check out an unlimited number of titles for up to 7 days each!
