The Livingston Parish Fair will be held during he week of October 4-12, 2014.This is the perfect venue to showcase the efforts of our fine educational system in a fun setting. The Livingston Parish Fair Association has provided us with the following events to promote our schools’ role in Livingston Parish life: 
  • CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS DAY (Children with an IEP) Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Please note that all games and rides will not be open/operating at this time.

SCHOOL EXHIBIT THEME: Taste the fun" (Explanation: Food-not only the food that everyone loves to eat at the Fair, but also the food grown right here in Livingston parish, the food of area restaurants, the delicious dishes made in this area or region, and much, much more.)

The EXHIBITS will be “placed” on MONDAY OR TUESDAY, Oct. 6-7, 2014 (8 am - 4 pm).

NOTE: Please have exhibits completed by 4pm on Tuesday, OCTOBER 6TH for public display.


EXHIBIT REMOVAL: Sunday, Oct.12, 91:00 p.m. to 5:00) and Monday, Oct.13 (8:00 a.m. to noon).

The following regulations will apply:
  •  Each school shall use its own discretion as to the type of exhibit that fits the theme given.
  • Space will be provided for 4-H clubs, Agriscience (FFA), Family and Consumer Science (FCCLA), or other school organizations.
  • Each school shall be allotted a space 8' long. Other dimensions of the exhibit space are diagrammed in the premium catalog.(5' tall backboard, 30" slanted shelf tabletop, 28" apron). All surface area of the space is covered with a 1/4" plywood and electricity is available to each space.
  • All electronics used in an exhibit are the responsibliity of each school not the LPEA.
  • (Optional) communication card (5X7 index card) will be available to provide information about each exhibit to the judges.

Judging will be on student work, theme, and organization. there will be three (3) divisions of competition. High School. Middle School, and Elementary School.
Cash prizes in each division will be awarded as follows:
1st = $100.00
2nd: = $75.00
3rd = $50.00

4th = $25.00
4-H Clubs that display an exhibit will receive the following: 
10 points for participation
15 Points for 3rd
20 Points for 2nd
30 Points for 1st

It is required to RSVP Donald Gill (686-4253) as to the number and division of exhibits your school will prepare. It is requested that you complete the form provided and return it to the central office by Friday, September 26, 2014. Spaces will be assigned on a firs come first serve basis. There are only 32 exhibit spaces to available. You will be notified which exhibit space(s) you are assigned by signage on the actual space on Monday, October 6, 2014. Drawings will be made as to corner areas available for each division.
