The current procedures for
Teachers are as follows:
If you have a problem with your computer try these steps:
(before you report the problem to the technology coordinator)
- Restart the PC
- When you restart make sure that you are logged in to the network.
Do not log on at school "work
station only" because you don't get security pushes.
- verify that the virus
protection is up to date
- Always
allow automatic updates to run until the process is complete. Failure to do
so will cause problems!!
You can leave automatic updates running on your computer overnight.
If this did not solve the problem,
Report the problem to your school level technology coordinator as soon as
possible, include the following information.

School Level Technology Coordinators are as follows:
Use
School Dude to report problems/issues to the
helpdesk@lpsb.org.anytime day or night.
Call
the Helpdesk at 686.4329 from: 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday
DO NOT
email or call in issues to Technology Director, Sandra Brewer or her
secretary, Susan McDonald unless you have worked the problem through the
HELPDesk with unsatisfactory results. |
