The Technology Training Department is responsible  for providing technology training for teachers and administrators. This department is funded through technology grants from state and federal sources as well as local funds. Concentration has been on the integration of technology into the curriculum with equipment and software allotted to training participants.

Registration for Training is on a first come first served basis. It is announced through email to all teachers with a link to Go Sign Me Up, an online registration program. Training may be face to face or online through Cyber School.

We offer three different types of training:

1. Application Training- This training is specific to different software applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Corel Paint Shop Pro. Any LPSB employee can attend this training (teachers, aides, secretaries, etc.).

2. Technology Integration- This training is specific to a grade level or subject matter. These classes are for classroom teachers only. Teachers who attend these classes usually receive computer equipment. These classes can require as many as 50+ hours of training.

3. Specialty Training- This training is directed towards district wide adopted software or programs such as : PowerSchool, OnCourse, and LANGUAGE!

We are also available to provide training at schools on any topic including Internet Safety.
