General Training Information

Registration for Training is on a first come first served basis. It is announced through email to all teachers with a link to an online registration web page.

We offer three different types of training.

1. Application Training

  • Intro to Computers
  • Beginning Internet
  • Word 1 and Word 2
  • Power Point 1 and Power Point 2
  • Kidspiration
  • Inspiration
  • Excel 1 and Excel 2
  • Web Design
  • Access
  • Basic Computer Troubleshooting

Any LPSB employee can attend this training (teachers, aides, secretaries, etc.). The majority of these classes are offered during the summer and on request if there are enough interested participants. Classes range from 4- 24 hours.
 

2. Technology Integration

  • K-5 INTECH (Grade K- 5 Teachers Only)
  • 6-12 INTECH (Subject Specific)
  • First Tech (New Teachers)
  • Technology For Administrators

These classes are for classroom teachers only. Teachers who attend these classes usually receive computer equipment. These classes last for a full semester. INTECH participants receive graduate level credit through Southeastern Louisiana University and may apply for Teacher Tuition Exemption.

Please remember that signing up for a class is a commitment that you should take seriously!
If you sign up for a training and do not attend then you have prevented another person from attending.
