| This
program was devised to provide an opportunity for teachers who currently do
not have a black computer (desktop or laptop) in their classroom. Teachers
who complete this program will receive a desktop computer for their
classroom. We are targeting schools who are participating in the OnCourse
pilot program in 06-07. |

| Requirements: |
- Each teacher must sign a contract.
- Get signature from Principal at
your school.
- Return the contract to Elaine Dalton via
fax or pony.
(Teacher Contract available for download below)
- Each teacher must complete 24 hours of
training between August 06 and December 07.
- Three
hours of the training must be through LPPS Technology Department an
“Updated Basic Maintenance and Troubleshooting”. This course will be
offered in the Summer.
- The
remainder of the training can be completed at each school, through the
LPPS technology department, or State Department but must involve the use
of technology.
- Any training done
within our system must be
posted on Go
Sign Me Up.
Note: Go Sign Me Up is a new online registration system that will keep
track of the training that each teacher attends in this parish.
- The
teacher will also need to attach a copy of any certificate to the Record
of Training Document.
- The Record of Training
Document must be turned in to your school's Technology Coordinator by
December 07.

- Computers will arrive by spring and will
need to be imaged. This means that they will not come with our network
software loaded on them.
- Each school's technology coordinator will
have this image CD for distribution.
- Technology coordinators and LPPS
technology staff will assist with getting computers set up and on the
network.
