Projectors In the Classroom

Procedure for Solving Problems 

Projector Problems

1.  Report the problem to your school technology coordinator.

2.  He/she will request that a LPPS tech come out and look at the projector.

3.  Ask the tech what he tried to correct the problem (you will need this information in step 6). For example: checked computer speakers, checked projector wiring

4.  If not resolved by the LPPS tech, call the manufacturer for  support.

c.  Dell Tech Support 1-888-977-3355
    
(Please have your Express Service Code ready when calling)

6.  They will also ask for:

a.  Model number (ie: Epson 83c)

b.  Projector serial # (for Dell that is the Service Tag #)

c.  Description of the problem

d.  Things attempted by the tech to troubleshoot or fix the problem.

7.  If under warranty, They will send you an email that includes instructions on how to ship for replacement.


Projector Bulbs/Lamps

Replacement of bulbs/lamps are the financial responsibility of the school. Listed below are links to the manufacturer sites. You may find cheaper prices on the internet by searching for "Epson bulbs or Epson lamps".

 

Your will need:

a.  Model number (ie: Epson 83c)

b.  Projector serial # (for Dell that is the Service Tag #)

Request a quote and give the quote to your school secretary to complete a P.O.
