school.
This is the dvd/cd drive on your computer
The is the hard drive on your computer 2. Double click on the folder you choose to save your file in.
3. Type in a name.
4. Click "Save".
Don't forget
where you saved it and what you named it.
When naming your files use consistency and organization. Before
Windows'95, DOS allowed only 8 characters, a period, and the three character
extension.( *This naming extension is still followed on the server that
houses our school web pages, a good rule of thumb is to use all lower case and
only 8 characters). The extension is the "file type" and is identified by
three characters at the end of the name that are seperated from the name with a
period. This extension is automatically added to the end of your file by the
program you are using. (In most programs you may change the file type if
needed). For example:
.wpd WordPerfect document
.doc Microsoft Word document
.shw WordPerfect Presentations slideshow
.htm HTML document |
