Attention:
T.A.T and O.F.A.T. teachers must complete the 8g Local Teacher Quality Block Grant Application. E-Mail Belinda Watson (belinda.watson@lpsb.org) for an application. Same timeline applies.

You will be notified by email, at your LPSB address, upon approval with the amount you will receive.

You must fully complete the application to be eligible for the TTE program.  Please read instruction carefully.  Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Procedure for applying for Tuition Exemption:
  1. Applicants must be employed as a teacher by the Livingston Parish School Board and under contract for the semester they are applying for exemption.
  2. Teachers that are taking courses to become highly qualified certified, or to enhance their knowledge of the subject they teach will be given top priority.  All other applicants may submit a form for review to determine approval.
  3. The Teacher Tuition Exemption Application form must be completed and submitted to Cindy Neal or Suzanne McDaniel at the LPSB central office before the specified deadline for each semester. (You may also leave the application in the tray located on Cindy Neal’s desk.)
  4. The tuition exemption application must be filled out completely by the applicant and signed by the principal.
  5. The Teacher Tuition Exemption Receivable form must be filled out completely and signed by the applicant. (Southeastern Louisiana University students only)
IMPORTANT:
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to deliver the forms directly to Cindy Neal or Suzanne McDaniel at the LPSB central office before the specified deadline.
  • Forms should not be left at the front desk or with anyone else at the central office. Placement on the parish delivery truck does not ensure delivery to the program director.
  • Forms must be completed in order to be given consideration for funding—Incomplete forms will be returned to the applicant.
  • If you take a course other than the one on your application, it is you responsibility to notify us as soon as the change is made.  You must come to the Central Office and fill out a Course Change Application.
