There are 194 school buses in Livingston Parish Public Schools, serving approximately 23,450 students.  All parish owned buses are serviced by the maintenance shop, which is located at the central office in Livingston, Louisiana.  This shop has been in existence since the 1977-78 school year.  The Transportation Director supervises the bus maintenance shop.  The shop employs five full time mechanics.  Extensive Maintenance data is kept on file for each parish owned bus and all parish owned vehicles. 

Special Education transportation is served by 25 of the 194 buses.  Of the total fleet of 194 buses serving Livingston Parish Public School students, 98 are privately owned and 96 are parish owned.
