MEDIA CENTER

The Livingston Parish Public Schools Media Center was created to provide our teachers, administrators and other personnel who work directly with students’ additional materials and supplies to enhance instruction. 

Each teacher, principal, and instructional staff member must personally complete a utilization card. Each card is currently worth $20.00 for a full school year and may be utilized to purchase consumable materials.  Cards acquired after the end of the first semester are worth one-half the total value. 

All cards expire at the end of the school year.  Teachers, principals, and other approved educational personnel may acquire new cards at the beginning of summer vacation to prepare instructional materials for the up-coming school year.

The center is now assessable through the Livingston Parish Public Schools Web Site and provides an online catalog and list of services for all schools.  This has made it easier for employees to get the latest list of materials and equipment available, to check out items and to contact the center for questions or comments.

It is a K-12 public school district comprised of 40 schools and 22,236 students.
