day New Teacher Orientation prior to the beginning of the school year

Welcomed by Induction Leaders that will assist and provide support
during a 2 year Induction Process

Receive full day staff development with emphasis on Classroom
Management

Visit 4 Demonstration Classrooms according to their grade level
4.
Attend a Parish Orientation to obtain information on parish policies
and procedures
5.
Greeted by the Superintendent and district administrators
6.
Receive a stipend for attendance and participation during these
before school activities

a state mandated in-service concerning the Louisiana Assistance/Assessment
Program and the New Teacher Portfolio

Mentors
assigned to support

Attend
an Informational Afternoon divided into topics: Technology Opportunities,
Special Education Services, Media Center, GLEEM

Enrolled in a Blackboard Course where teachers respond to topics and one
another. This is part of our networking process
v
Formal/
Informal observation and feedback during the school year by district staff
v
Release
time periodically to continue extensive professional development trainings
and networking opportunities. Books are provided to support topics

Attend
a Graduation Celebration with featured speaker, lunch, reflection time and
certificates
