The Livingston Parish

New Teacher Induction Program

New Teacher Resources

 Lesson Plan Format

As a new teacher to Livingston Parish Public School System we want to welcome you and let you know about the support and opportunities available. Our District offers a two year long New Teacher Induction Program as part of LaTAAP (Louisiana Assistance/Assessment Program).

You will find that our Induction Program, LINUS, will offer you many great opportunities for professional development along with follow-up, materials, and a knowledge base of effective strategies and techniques for managing your classroom.

LINUS: Links teachers together in a common bond: Classroom Management, systematically Inducts teachers into the process, Navigates them through the challenges and triumphs of managing a classroom, checks for Understanding, and gives each teacher that security blanket of Support. We are looking forward to working with and assisting you in your new profession: TEACHER!
