No Child Left Behind Act

Title I

The Federal Programs Department, an integral part of Livingston Parish’s educational program, is implemented in consultation with administrators, general education, special populations, teachers and parents.

The Title I, No Child Left Behind Act, places an even greater emphasis on reaching impoverished children and improving instruction and learning opportunities for all children. Schools are identified as Title I eligible if they have 40% or more of their student body receiving free or reduced lunch.

Title I serves all students in twenty-one schools in our district with schoolwide programs. The program’s size, scope and quality give reasonable promise of progress toward meeting the educational needs of students being served.

Parent Publications made available to LPPS Parents through Title I
