Springfield Middle School will host a Family
Literacy Night in the school
cafeteria from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 4.
Students in grades 5-8 and their parents are
invited to attend.
Participants can come at their leisure anytime to
visit with teachers. They
will also have the option of reviewing math,
science, social studies,
reading and/or English concepts that are expected
to be included in this
year's state LEAP and iLEAP tests.
A special 8th Grade Parent Testing meeting will
be held from 5:45 p.m. to 6
p.m. to learn more about this year's high-stakes
LEAP test that will be
given to students April 12-16, as well as a
first-ever breakout writing
section of the test that is set to be given March
23.
Students who attend will receive a free dress
pass for the next day of
school.
Also, participants will be able to take family or
friend pictures that
night, and the cost of the photos can be paid at
the time they are taken.
